WHY
. . choose LVT over ceramic or stone?
- Ceramics and stones are cold and hard to the feet; LVTs are warm and soft.
- Ceramics and stones can chip, crack, shatter easily; LVTs will not.
- Ceramics and stones require the use of backer board, mortar, wet saw, and grout to install; LVTs require only a straight edge, a utility knife, and an adhesive to install.
- A damaged piece of ceramics or stones is very difficult to remove and replace; a damaged piece of LVT can be easily removed using a blow dryer (if a hot release adhesive is used) and replaced with a new one.
. . . choose LVT over sheet vinyl?
- Vinyl sheets are difficult to handle; LVTs are a lot easier to handle.
- Vinyl sheets can tear, rip, and gauge easily; LVTs will not.
- Vinyl sheets must be replaced in full when damaged; LVTs can be replaced piece-by-piece when needed.

- Carpets trap dirt, hair, and allergens and are difficult to clean; LVTs are easy to clean yet still soft, warm, and quiet to walk on.
- Carpets require the use of underlayment; LVTs do not.
- Carpets are not waterproof and can mold underneath; LVTs (not the subfloor) are waterproof and will not mold underneath when installed and maintained properly.
