Wilsonart® HD Integrated Sinks

Wilsonart HD Integrated Sinks were created especially for use with Wilsonart Laminate countertops and work surfaces. Like Wilsonart HD surfaces, these sinks are as durable as they are beautiful. The seamless flow  from surface to basin, with no lip to trap dirt, ensures easy care. And because the ergonomic design eliminates hard edges, they are very comfortable to use. Strong, thermal-formed acrylic is resistant to stains and heat, and because the color goes all the way through the material, its satin finish is easily renewable as well. And the faucet's integrated shelf naturally channels water away from the surface. All sinks styles available in True White and Ivory. 

Karran® Solid Surface Sinks

An undermount Karran® solid surface sink is an option now available with your L. E. Smith laminate countertop.  We will seamlessly undermount the Karran® sink into your laminate countertop during our manufacturing process.

The undermount sink is more hygienic and easier to maintain for your customers than standard drop-in installations; and Karran® sinks are completely non-porous which prevents bacteria growth.

Karran® sinks are guaranteed not to stain and are also heat and scratch resistant.  By combining seamless elegance and beauty with the affordability of laminate, upgrading to a Karran® sink installation is an exceptional value.

Some of the key performance features of Karran® Sinks include:

Stain resistance

Karran® sinks are completely stain proof.  In over 20 years of selling Karran® in Europe, South Africa, Australia, Canada and the USA, nothing has ever been found that will permanently stain the surface.

Bacterial resistance

Hygiene for you and your family is of vital importance.  Karran® cannot absorb any substance due to it's incredibly high density.  It is completely non-porous.  Therefore bacteria and germs cannot impregnate the surface of a Karran® sink.  Karran® vanity bowls do not have overflows as these are areas prone to bacteria growth.  For a truly sanitary environment, choose an undermount sink seamlessly installed under laminate or solid surface.

Scratch resistance

Karran®'s satin finish, as well as the fact that the color goes all the way through the material, disguises scratches to the surface that may occur through use over time.  While Karran® is difficult to scratch, some scratches may occur.  These scratches are easily removable using a 3M Scotch-Brite Karran® pad, and if necessary, a fine grit sandpaper.

Heat resistance

Karran® sinks can withstand heat temperatures up to 365°.  However, it is always a good practice to not place a hot pot or pan directly into your sink.  Always allow hot pots and pans to cool before placing them into any sink, or alternatively run cold water into a pot when placing it in a sink.

Thermal shock

Many solid surface sinks may develop cracks when exposed to rapid temperature changes caused by boiling hot water or iced water.  Karran® is immune to such cracking, due to it's reinforced backing.  Karran® sinks will never crack due to thermal shock.

Impact resistance

A Karran® solid surface sink has a feature you won't find in other more rigid solid surface sinks.  Because it's made of acrylic, it's more forgiving than rigid solid surface materials, so if you drop something like a glass casserole dish into it the sink won't break and the casseral dish may not break either.

Ease of Cleaning

Karran® is so dense that all dirt, whether it be coffee, grape juice, mustard or ketchup, merely sits on the surface.  A rinse of water, and sometimes a wipe with cloth or sponge, is all that is needed to clean your sink.  However, cleaning with all types of scouring pads and abrasive cleaners is recommended, and will not harm the sink in any way.
