A company is only as successful as its employees. We wanted to highlight three successful team members and their roles within the company, as well as show how they are committed to helping each client improve their business. Because with L.E. Smith, you don’t just get a product – you get a partner.

Michael McNamer – Regional Sales Manager

Michael graduated from Ohio Dominican University with a double major in business and finance. While in college, he joined his dad’s company, McNamer Construction, where he managed the day-to-day operations of interior trim carpenters for their custom high-end homes. After graduation, he began to oversee larger-scale projects from remodels and room additions to outdoor living spaces. His most memorable jobs there included constructing all of the custom cabinetry and trim work in Jim Tressel’s office at the Woody Hayes Center; trim work at New Albany Links Golf Club, Glenross Golf Club, and Vittoria, an Italian restaurant in Powell. He worked there for several years until his dad became ill and they dissolved the business.

With his knowledge and experience, he transitioned to a large distribution company in Central Ohio. After a few years of managing their custom cabinet shop, he decided to pursue a sales position within that company. That launched his sales career and advanced him into his current multi-family renovation role. He spends his free time with his family, traveling to Hilton Head, taking cruises, golfing, swimming, and attending hockey games.

“The culture at L.E. Smith is team-oriented with the greater gain for all. It’s a strong organization that cultivates unity to accomplish goals. One of our goals is to provide outstanding customer service by performing as an extension to your team. By partnering with us, you receive impeccable quality, industry-leading turn times, and professional installation services.”

He also believes that the benefits of working for L.E. Smith include the indispensable support for his career and goals. He especially enjoys the positivity, reliability, adaptability, and flexibility of working there.

Kevin Jackson – Inside/Outside Sales Representative

Kevin began his sales career 25 years ago in Missouri selling food to restaurants and grocery stores. He moved back to Ohio in 1995 and continued that same path before coming to L.E. Smith in 2017 to learn about the exciting world of countertops. In his free time, Kevin enjoys spending time with his grandchildren. He and wife, Nancy, also enjoy traveling and relaxing and grilling outside.

“The culture at L.E. Smith is of a collaborative nature. We all work together as a team and celebrate everyone’s success.”

This team-focused mentality benefits customers as well. “We view our clients as partners. We strive every day in everything we do to make our partners as successful as they can be and increase their profitability. We work together to stay on top of recent design trends and market fluctuations, advise clients of changes, and adjust as necessary. At L.E. Smith, customer service is not just something we do, it’s our way of life. Without exception, every team member does whatever it takes to satisfy our partner clients and ensure their satisfaction and enjoyment of doing business with us. If our clients are successful, then we are successful.”

“L.E. Smith delivers expert surface fabrication and installation by a team that ensures your project is done on time, complete and correct. We have industry-leading lead times, dedicated project managers for phased projects, and the reputation of providing the products you need when you need them.”
