Key Ingredients

1 64 oz. can of Tomato Juice 1 small can Hunts diced Tomatoes 1 small can Hunts Chili Style Tomatoes 1 Packet McCormick Chili Seasoning 2lbs. Ground Chuck 2 small cans Brooks Hot Chili Beans 1 large can Brooks Medium Chili Beans   Brown Ground Chuck in a large saucepan, and drain.  Transfer to a stock pot.  Add Tomato Juice, Tomatoes, Seasoning, and beans.  Simmer for 3 hours, and serve to all of your hungry clients.  Serve with great information provided by multiple vendors and tons of great conversation, and you have the recipe for a very successful evening!  This…

Four associates found themselves one rung higher this week, as L.E. Smith promoted four associates to new and challenging roles within the organization. Amy Miller, Inside Sales Manager, transitioned to the role of Business Development Manager. Amy will oversee the daily functions and long term goals of both the Customer Service Department and the Inside Sales Team. Kaizen – Maintenance Department

Kaizen #11 began Monday with classroom presentation on Personal and Joint Accountability, Lean Theory, Waste Identification, Visual Management, and 5S. The team made two visits to the shop floor To identify opportunities for improvement were identified and teams were created to tackle the areas That were identified. Kaizen #6 – Home Services

Kaizen #6 began Monday with a lecture on Lean Theory, Waste Identification, Visual Management and 5S.  On Tuesday the team performed the floor exercises in the bevel edge departments.  They identified numerous waste (COMMWIP) and 5S opportunities for improvement.  Next the team created a current state process map of the Home Services Department with opportunities for improvement.
